Let’s Get You Back on Your Feet—Pain-Free.
Spring means more time outside—running, walking, gardening, or chasing your kids around the yard. But foot pain can quickly ruin the fun.
Long workdays, standing in heels, or jumping back into walking routines too fast can leave your feet sore and stiff. Sound familiar?
As a physical therapist, I see this every year— busy adults who go from sedentary winter months to full-on outdoor activity. Check out this week's newsletter where you will find simple exercises to ease foot pain and make sure to scroll down to see this week’s mobility challenge. I would love to see and hear how it makes your feet feel so take a video or picture, upload it to your Instagram or Facebook stories and be sure to tag me @blackstar_ptwellness so that I can share your progress.
👣 4 Simple Exercises to Ease Foot Pain
- Ankle Mobility
Use a thick band above your ankle to improve joint range of motion. This helps you move and stretch better.
- Foam Roll Your Calves
Tight calves can lead to heel and arch pain. Roll between your ankle and knee—not on the joints.
- Plantar Fascia Massage
Grab a massage ball (or golf ball!) and roll the bottom of your foot. It reduces tightness and improves circulation.
- Standing Calf Stretch
This oldie but goodie improves flexibility in your calves and eases pressure on your heel.
