Hello Reader,,
Okay, I know this newsletter is arriving a day late…
But let me tell you—it’s right on time. 💫
Because life? It's a whole rollercoaster.
And just like many of you, last weekend I almost said “no” to something my body desperately needed: rest and restoration.
Reflections That Shifted My Energy
I attended a women’s wellness event to close out Women’s History Month, and to be honest… I expected a typical networking meet-up and a short class.
Instead, I got an hour of pure replenishment—soothing sound bowls, meditation, mindful movement, and deep reflection on the relationship between our wellness and our businesses.
And the kicker?
I almost didn’t go.
I almost skipped it because I didn’t want to take time away from my family.
But I said “yes”—and it led to not only filling my own cup, but also a beautiful new opportunity to serve other women at another event this past weekend.
That moment reminded me:
💬 What are you saying “no” to that your body actually needs you to say “yes” to?
🌀 Your Q2 Reset: It Starts NOW
As we welcome Q2, I’m inviting you to say “yes” to you.
This newsletter kicks off a new series focused on getting back into outdoor activity—safely, without injury.
Whether you’re hitting the trails, gardening, or returning to your favorite fitness routine, we’re going to walk through exactly how to transition with strength, mobility, and injury prevention in mind.

Saying “Yes” Led to This…
The most amazing thing happened after I attended that Women’s Wellness event last Sunday. From simply choosing to show up and pour into myself, I was invited just a few days later to speak at another local Women’s Wellness event.
I was originally expecting to lead a group stretch class—but instead, I was given the mic to educate and empower a whole new group of women.
I shared:
- How to manage chronic pain—especially in women
- What to look for when choosing a quality healthcare provider
- And how Black Star PT & Wellness supports women through physical therapy, stretching, and fitness coaching
Even more powerful? I was able to answer personal questions from women right there on the spot—offering real-time guidance and encouragement around pain they’ve been living with for far too long.
This experience reminded me again: When you say “yes” to yourself, opportunities for growth, healing, and connection multiply.
